Meet the hosts

The approachable doomer.
Frank Prendergast
Co-host
“I’m asking ChatGPT, ‘How do you mix cement?’ to build my bunker. It’ll be grand.”
Frank Prendergast is a marketer and creative strategist who has spent more than 20 years working in digital marketing and experimenting with new technology.
As co-host of The AI Argument, Frank brings a practical, sceptical and curious perspective on AI. He’s particularly interested in how it is changing the way we work, create and communicate, as well as the bigger questions that come with that.
He’s enthusiastic about experimenting with the technology, wary of some of the claims made for it, and interested in the questions we still don’t have good answers to.

The techno-overoptimist.
Justin Collery
Co-host
“The AI has broken out of its box and I don’t think it’s a big deal. I think it’s absolutely fine.”
Justin Collery is a technology entrepreneur and AI specialist with more than two decades of experience developing and implementing new technology. He has founded tech companies, led AI initiatives and used data analysis to help organisations make strategic decisions.
He is particularly interested in generative AI and its potential to transform industries, improve operations and unlock new forms of innovation.
As co-host of The AI Argument, Justin brings the techno-optimist perspective, generally favouring rapid progress and focusing on the potential benefits of increasingly capable AI systems.
